The Department of Dental Science celebrated stellar performance at the University of Nairobi’s (UoN) staff awards by emerging the first runner up in the best performing teaching departments category.
This feat acted as a reflection of the department’s steadfast commitment to maintaining scholarly excellence and its dedication to its mission of training high caliber oral health professionals.
The University of Nairobi (UoN) has received a significant boost to dental training following the donation of a dental chair worth Ksh. 1.5 million from DYM, a leading dental equipment manufacturer and supplier based in China.
The handover ceremony took place at the Department of Dental Sciences on Thursday, September 25, 2025, and was graced by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Margaret Hutchinson.
