STUDENTS ADMISSION AT THE DEPARTMENT OF DENTAL SCIENCES

The Department of Dental Sciences enrolled students for training in Bachelors and Masters in Dental Surgery in various specialties.

This year, the Department admitted a total of 82 students for the 5 year Bachelors in Dental Surgery program. This is the highest number ever recorded and we are looking forward to their team success and ultimate graduation in 2027. For Masters of Dental Surgery, the department prides in having admitted a total of 12 students.

Dr. Florence Opondo Ekea entices the audience with a riveting talk on “The pearls and pitfalls in CBCT interpretation” at the Kenya Dental Association’s 39th Annual Scientific Conference & Exhibition held from October 27th to October 29th at the Lake Naivasha Resort.

Other presenters from the Oral & Maxillofacial unit included Dr. TJ Ochola who gave the keynote address and Dr. A.W. Njiru who was an invited speaker for BDS students.

EDUCATION-STAKEHOLDER FORUM AT UON

The working party for this presidential initiated task is going round soliciting views from stakeholders and members of the public in accordance with their terms of reference. The Department of Dental Sciences will be sending a team to make their contributions on issues that directly affect dentistry. The following areas will be covered by the appointed working party:
