The School of Dental Sciences conducted training for all its staff on upgrading of Infection Prevention and Control in the COVID-19 in Dental settings.

Challenges of COVID-19 have led to uptake of new technologies to clean up the air around operating dental clinics.
Consequently, Dr. Benjamin Simiyu, faculty member in the Department of Conservative and Prosthetic Dentistry presented a donation of one VacStation to the School of Dental Sciences on July 6, 2020.

The University of Nairobi (UoN) School of Medicine of Dental Sciences was inspected by a team from the East Africa Community (EAC) on its suitability to offer training to dental students in the region.
After the inspection, the school was found to meet the requirements for training of dental students as provided in the EAC regional guidelines for inspection and recognition of medical schools and teaching hospitals in EAC partner states.
The School of Dental Sciences held its Hippocratic Oath ceremony for the graduates of class 2019 on Tuesday 19th November 2019 at the School of Dental Sciences.
The oath was administered by Dr Regina J. Mutave – Dean School of Dental Sciences, to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery students who qualified for the award of Degree in Bachelor of Dental Surgery by the University of Nairobi.
